Anik Schwall began her musical education in the class of André Navau and Jean Halsdorf at the Conservatoire d'Esch-sur-Alzette. She continued her university studies for cello in the class of Prof. Rafael Rosenfeld at the Musikakademie der Stadt Basel and later at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in the class of Prof. Marie Hallynck. In 2018, Anik received her Master of Arts degree with Distinction at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in the class of Prof. Orfeo Mandozzi. Anik was chosen for the Gstaad Festival Orchestra with Jaap van Zweden in summer 2017 and for the Grafenegg Academy Orchestra with Neeme Järvi in summer 2018. She was also an intern at the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL) as well as a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) for ten concert tours and played with orchestras like the Royal Concertgebouw Orkest and the chamber orchestra Spira Mirabilis. She already performed in concert halls like the Carnegie hall New York, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus Berlin or the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Anik appeared as a soloist with different orchestras like the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL) and she is a fellow of the Fond Culturel National Luxembourg. Besides her teaching activity at the Conservatoire d'Esch-sur-Alzette and at the Ecole de Musique de l'UGDA, Anik works as a substitute for the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL) and the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg (OCL). She also plays in a piano trio with Nadia Ettinger (violin) and Zala Kravos (piano) and is a member of the duo LUXCELLO, together with Beatriz Jiménez, as well as of the Cello Octet Luxembourg.
