Monica Maranelli was born in Rovereto in 1995. She began studying piano at the age of 8 years with Prof. Enrico Toccoli. She received the diploma at the Conservatory “F. Bonporti” in Riva del Garda under the guidance of M °Antonio Tarallo with full marks and honours. From the age of 16, Monica completed her playing at the prestigious International Piano Accademy „Incontri col Maestro“ in Imola with the famous teacher Leonid Margarius. In June 2016 Monica completed the Master in Music Performance at the Lugano Conservatory (Switzerland) where She studied with the famous pianist Anna Kravtchenko. Monica took part to masterclasses of M° Aldo Ciccolini, Francois Thiollier, Pietro de Maria, Vovka Ashkenazy and many others. Since She was a child She has distinguished herself in the musical overview by winning the First Prize in several National and International Competitions that are: “Concours d’interpretation Musicale Lousanne 2017”, “Barlassina Young Talents Competition” in 2013, “International Quinto Vicentino Mozart Competition” (where he also won a special prize to the best pianist “M.R. Molinari”) in 2011, “Baldi Piano Competition” 2016 in Bologna, “Piove di Sacco” 2017 in Padua. She also won the Second prize at the “Tadini Piano Competition” and the 2eme Accessit at the Concours International de Lagny 2017, Paris. She is the winner of the Yamaha Music Scholarship 2017 in Bern, as the best pianist student in Switzerland. Her interpretation of Schumann's Carnaval Op.9, performed during the final round of the “Concours d’interpretation Musicale Lousanne 2017” at Salle Paderewsky of Casino Montbenon in Lausanne, was broadcast by RTS Espace 2 radio. Monica Maranelli has performed at major festival and concerts hall including “Wiener Saal” of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, “Ateneo Veneto” in Venice, “Sala Filarmonica” of Trento and Rovereto, Villa d’Este (Rome), National Museum “G. Verdi” in Busseto and many others. She has performed also as soloist with the “Bacău Mihail Jora” Philharmonic, the Trento Bonporti Orchestra, the Lugano Conservatory Orchestra, the “Easter Music Orchestra” of Arco and others. She has performed also as a chamber musician, in many formations and She has to his credit collaborations with different musicians such as the young prodige Teofil Milenkovitc, violinist. Now Monica is attending the first year of the Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance with Anna Kravtchenko at the Lugano Conservatory.
