Biography
Caroline Mirkes is a cellist, pianist and composer, currently studying cello as a Fulbright Grantee in the Master’s Program of New York University. Caroline recorded her first CD Dis, est-ce que ça repousse les ailes? in 2015 and presented her first short film Retourner the same year. In 2012, she launched Art lounges in Brussels called ‘Art under the roof’, which reunited young artists to exchange ideas and present works. Caroline got her Master’s Degree for cello at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya and besides her activity as an artist, she is the creator and leader of Performers.lu, a corporation that provides and supports artists, creates shows, undertakes research and leads educative projects sharing the power of live performance. The effect that art sensibalizes in humans is the origin of Caroline’s creative energy.
