Ipanejazz is a duet created in 2017. They play revisited jazz and bossa nova standards.
 
Eric is born in Paris in 1978, but grown up in Reunion Island in a family of musicians. There, he began classical piano studies at the conservatoire of Saint-Denis, with a great passion for many types of music. At 18 years old, he made his first live concert as vocalist, with the high school band, as a gospel lead singer. During that same period, he discovers jazz music, listening to many artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Michel Petrucciani, Nat King Cole. It was the beginning of a real passion for that style of music, so rich in musicality, improvisation, energy that he really enjoyed. In 2005, he met the jazz pianist, Nicolas Chalopin. They create their “Mago Quintet” in Paris. They have played regularly in many places like the Sherwood Jazz Club, a place where they were playing for a long time every week. Unfortunately, in 2013, he contracts a skin cancer and after 3 years of many surgeries, treatment, he had lost his voice. But he struggled and worked a lot to find it back, to go back to his first and only love: music. Finally, in 2017, he’s back with his brand-new voice on stage in Luxembourg, Belgium and France, decided to share his passion and his smile with you. No need to say that he founds a part of his will to succeed, in the love he has for jazz music, and you will feel it easily in all his interpretations. He creates the Ipanejazz Duet with a young talented guitar player, Pedro Cardoso. They play jazz and bossa nova standards. In 2018, he plans to create a new quintet with Nicolas Chalopin and Pedro Cardoso, to begin to play some of his own compositions. Let’s the good times roll.
 
Pedro is born in Luxembourg in 1995, where he grown up. At first, he studied classical piano for 8 years at the Luxembourg Conservatoire, then he decided to study the guitar. At his high school’s studies, he went to Nancy at the MAI to improve his skills of explore many styles of music. In 2014, he joined the BIMM music school in Brighton for a long cursus, where he still studying music at the moment. He likes to play rock music, jazz, bossa nova. He plays in a gospel band in Luxembourg and many other groups on stage, in England, Luxembourg, Belgium and France. He’s a really young talented player and likes to perform on stage to share these passion and skills with the audience.
